Come Make a Difference
The Truro Homeless Outreach Society is in need of volunteers on Mondays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM before the shelter opens for the evening,
to prepare the evening meal for approximately 15 people. The volunteer co-ordinator will be there to show you the fully equipped kitchen,
and then it is just a matter of making yourself at home and starting to cook. You may bring your own ingredients, or use the ample food supplies in the THOS freezers. If necessary you may cook the meal at home and bring it in. But ideally, if you are there,
you are creating the nurturing aroma of a home-cooked meal, while connecting with the THOS staff and Volunteers.
You would be part of a team from St Andrews, Brunswick St/North River & First United, responsible for 1 shift every 4 or 5 weeks.
If you are interested, please give your name at the office or e-mail Ken Henderson at henderk@gmail.com
